Humanitarian and father of the Columbian street children of Bogotá

Jaime Jaramillo, “Papa Jaime” as he is warmly called in Colombia, is a geophysical and petroleum engineer that has dedicated a great part of his life to intensely working in the recuperation of the children and teenagers that in different cities of Colombia have the streets and inner spaces of the public urban sewer systems as housing. The Niños De Los Andes foundation is fruit of this commitment. It has a social entity infrastructure and tends for 6000 people every year.

Ten years ago he created the Leadership Institute, an entity through which he presents his conferences, workshops and seminars in different scenarios of the world, carrying a message that invites people to enjoy life fully, using simple and innovative techniques that have helped thousands of human beings to change their lives, putting aside addictions, depression, fears and rancor.

Through the activities carried out with this institute and with his daily interventions in national and international television programs, he is dedicated to sharing an enriching message that is an invitation to rediscovering life and completely enjoying each instant of life.

The work he has done during the last years has taken him to visit more than 30 countries around the world and has given him great public recognition not only as a social worker in Colombia but as one of the best motivators and lecturers in the world.

His brilliant professional career, his contribution to the country’s social development, his great leadership capacity and service vocation has made him the recipient of multiple world recognitions like the World Peace Award with sister Teresa de Calcutta, the 10 World Leaders, the World Peace Ambassador, the 10 Young Colombian Executives, the 50 World’s Best Executives, and the World Peace Nobel Price nomination in 1990, and others.
