Singer-Songwriter Shawn Hlookoff, 23, hails from Vancouver BC. His influences are early Elton John, Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, Coldplay, Radiohead, John Mayer, Maroon 5. Shawn has opened for Heart, REO Speedwagon, The Gin Blossoms and Chilliwack. Shawn is set to take the Stage with Joss Stone in July at L.A.’s Key Club. He has written featured songs with the composers for ABC t.v shows, Kyle XY (Michael Suby) and Eli Stone (Blake Neely). He’s also had his music in MTV’s hit reality show The Hills. Currently Shawn is working with record producers: Jeff Trott (Sheryl Crow, O.A.R, Stevie Nicks, Fastball, Adrienne Pierce), Ron Aneillo (Jars of Clay, Lifehouse, Guster, Barenaked Ladies) Jeff Blue (The Last Goodnight, Linkin Park, Macy Gray). Shawn has also been actively involved in various charitable organizations. He co-founded Feed The Need, in 2006, dedicated to helping others in need by providing “endless acts of kindness” locally and around the world.<< back to speakers |
